"My Perfect Day"

This is an article that I wrote for college in 1993. Last week, I showed it to my therapist and he loved it; it touched him. He said that I’m good at writing. So I am focusing on my wring; I actually have an idea for a children’s book which I’m starting very soon. What would your perfect day be like? Please comment on this post or email me at cp.princess70@gmail.com. Or anyone can email me about any of my posts. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

"My Perfect Day"

If I could be "normal" for a day, my dream would come true.  I would do a lot of things. First, I would do everything that a "normal" person can do. Then, I would prove that I am not different from anybody.  Last, I would have my dream night and after I did all of that; my perfect day would end.
If I could be a "normal" person for a day, I would do everything that I can't do as a person with a handicap.  First, I would drive my friends and myself to the beach.  Then, I would run through the sand and in the water.  Next, we would go to the mall, so I could run all through the mall.  After my friends and I had our fun, I would run a personal errand.
The next step in my perfect day would to be to go to tell all people who "think" they are better than I am what I think of them; I am so tired of some people stereotyping me. Yes, I have a handicap, but I can think for myself. I am also a woman and would like a male companion.  So, after I felt better with people, I would have a great night.
If my dream to be "normal" came true, I would find my first and only love. I would try my best to work things out with him.  If he takes me back, we would go to dinner, and dancing.  Then, we would spend a romantic night on the beach and watch the sunrise.  That would end my miracle day, but my dream would not be over, because I would have my guy back.
