Under the Weather

I’m sick. My right leg, head and throat hurt. I’m waiting for my husband to come get and take me to the doctors. Wish me luck.

Past, Present, Future

This is my second inspirational Sunday article. Enjoy!

“Past, Present, Future”
Read Isaiah 43:14-19
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
-Isaiah 43:18 (NIV)
I have a problem not dwelling on bad things that happened in my past. That causes trouble in my life, the present. Since I can’t forget the past, I get in too many silly arguments with various people in my life. I forgive them but it’s very hard for me to forget what they did to me.  I’m working on that very hard.
I should stop thinking about the past, even the recent past like yesterday. Just this very morning, I told my husband that I was going to start to argue less with him because life is too short for fighting over every small thing; I would go crazy if I ever lost him.
On a television show, they said that small arguments don’t matter in marriages; it is big stuff that matters, like who do we want to wake up by every morning & to grow old with and who has our backs when we get in trouble or if we get very sick. I believe it is so true. My answer is my husband and no silly arguments are going to change that for me.

Prayer: God, Help us to focus on the present and future.
Thought of the Month:  Life is too short for focusing on the past.
Prayer Focus: Those who can not forget their past troubles.

Nicholas Sparks

I finished the book, “Safe Haven” by Nicholas Sparks today. I was pleasantly surprised that the book had a happy ending. The story was great, I hope they make it into a movie. As you know, if you read his books, Nicholas usually kills off a major character in every book and has a sad ending. Although Nicholas writes a tragic ending, I still love all of his books and movies! I read and watched all of them. I’m going to start reading “The Best of Me” soon, probably tonight.  Any Nicholas Sparks readers; please comment on this post or  email me at cp.princess70@gmail.com so we can discuss the wonderful books.

The Bachelor

My aide and I watched this week’s episode of “The Bachelor” today. I can’t believe that Ben really went skinny dipping with Courtney. He makes me sick; he was thinking about the other women. I bet the woman that he picks will leave him because he did that. I would, would you??? But if I learned it when I was filming the show, I would leave then. I like Kacie B. and Jennifer but now, I think they are too good for him.

My Night and Day

Oh, what a night and day! Last night, my husband and I got into an argument. I was sitting in the bed watching TV and he was doing something on the laptop in the bed by me. Around 11pm, I started asking him to get off of the laptop and lay me down so I could go to sleep. By that time, he was just watching YouTube videos; he was ignoring me and I hate when he does that.  At 1130, I tapped him on his shoulder just to ask him when he was going to lay me down, he got mad and rolled the laptop in the living room and started to say something “forget it, this is…….” He didn’t finish. When he came back in the bedroom, I asked what’s wrong, why did he get mad. He said I wouldn’t stop nagging him, I told him I just wanted for him to get off of the laptop so we could go to sleep and I needed him to lie me down. He asked what are the differences between him watching TV until 12 or 1230 and if he’s on the laptop. I told him that he doesn’t want me to go there. See, I don’t trust him at all being online when I’m not there with him because he cheated on me online; he went to meet people from online three times leaving me with mom when we were staying with her.

Today, I went to spend the day with mom because she is having a surgery on her foot on Friday and she will not be able to lift me for a month. When she got here to get me, she could see that I was upset. She got me to tell me about the argument which made me more emotional. When we got at her house, she gave me a feeding, she moved the syringe around making me nervous and it fall out and junk spilled on my clothes. I told her in a harsh way, give me just water; she said but I need food. I hate when people think that junk as food because I like to eat real food. I started crying from being so emotional about last night so every little thing got to me. Now, I feel bad about being an emotional mess with mom. She hugged me a lot and I didn’t feel like hugging her, I just wanted to be alone. Now, I feel awful that I didn’t hug her at least once today.
